Postdoctoral Fellow

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Mark Bevan, Ph.D., in the Department of Physiology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL.The laboratory focuses on the cellular, molecular, and circuit mechanisms underlying basal ganglia function and dysfunction. The position, funded by CHDI, will be to study the Q175 knock-in mouse model of Huntington’s disease.  The successful applicant will utilize electrophysiological, 2-photon imaging, optogenetic, molecular, and anatomical interrogation approaches.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field. A strong publication record with expertise in several of the above approaches is required. The successful candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team setting, and should have excellent communication and writing skills.
