Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scientist position in the KJ Patel’s research group within the Protein & Nucleic acid Chemistry Division at theLMB.
Dr. Patel’s programme focuses on DNA repair pathways and their role in stem cell function and cancer suppression. You will investigate the role of two-tier protection against aldehyde-induced DNA damage in stem cells and cancer.
You will have a PhD in a relevant biological subject and significant postdoctoral experience in aldehyde metabolism, stem cell & cancer biology. You will be fully competent in hematopoietic stem cell assays, flow cytometry, genetic manipulation with CRISPR-Cas9, and cancer research.
