Postdoctoral Fellow
BloodCenter of Wisconsin
We are seeking highly self-motivated candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in an NIH-funded lab at the Blood Research Institute (BRI), BloodCenter of Wisconsin (BCW)/part of Versiti (https://www.versiti.org/research/blood-research-institute).
The lab is mainly interested in understanding the structural basis of receptor transmembrane signaling using techniques of biochemistry, cell biology, and structural biology. Current studies focus on the structural regulation of cell surface receptors including integrins and receptor tyrosine phosphatases, with the goal of developing strategies to modulate their functions under disease conditions such as thrombosis, cancer and inflammation.
Qualified applicants must have strong knowledge and research experience in structural biology (protein crystallography, EM, or NMR), biochemistry or cell biology. Candidates who received their Ph.D. recently with an outstanding publication record in structural biology or protein science are welcome to apply. Applicants must be able to work independently and have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

The BRI is located adjacent to the Medical College of Wisconsin on the campus of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center (MRMC), which is also home to Milwaukee’s major teaching hospitals, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) and Froedtert Hospital (FH). The proximity of the BRI to the basic and clinical research programs of these institutions promote productive environment for collaboration.
Qualified candidates can be supported by our NIH T32 postdoctoral training program or our institutional postdoctoral fellowships. We provide competitive salary and benefits for postdoctoral fellows.
