Postdoctoral Associate position at the Dept. of Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Sciences at Utah State University

A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in Dr. Zhongde Wang’s laboratory at the Department of Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Sciences (ADVS), Utah State University. The Wang lab is the first to succeed in gene targeting in the golden Syrian hamster (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=wang+z+hamster+crispr). The selected candidate will be employing a variety of gene targeting tools, such as CRISPR/Cas9 and TALEN, to create genetically engineered golden Syrian hamster models for biomedical research.

Individuals who are highly motivated and with extensive lab experiences in DNA vector construction, mammalian cell culture, pronuclear injection, or animal cloning by somatic cell nuclear transfer are encouraged to apply.
