Grade 7: £32,236 - £39,609 p.a.
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join a highly motivated research team working under the supervision of Professor Sten Eirik Jacobsen, in the Haematopoietic Stem Cell Biology Laboratory.
This exciting position, dedicated towards phenotypic, molecular and clinical surveillance of stem and progenitor cells in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes, will provide the opportunity to apply state-of-the-art techniques in haematopoietic stem cell biology.
You will hold a PhD (or be near to completion: thesis submitted) in a relevant area and have previous experience in experimental application of molecular and cellular biology techniques, to the study of normal and/or malignant haematopoiesis. You will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic self-starter who can work with minimum supervision with good organisational skills to plan experimental bench-work and meet required deadlines. Excellent communication skills and the ability to be innovative are essential.
The post is fixed-term until 31 December 2019, funded by Bloodwise, with a possible 1 - 2 year extension, dependent on funding.
