Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Albert Shaw
Postdoctoral positions in human immunology available in the laboratory of Dr. Albert Shaw in the Section of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, Yale School of Medicine, focusing on the aging immune system. Available projects include studies of immunologic mechanisms (particularly in innate immunity), gene expression and metabolic signatures underlying age-related alterations in vaccine response, as well as the additional effects of HIV infection on the aging immune system.
Candidates with a Ph.D., M.D.-Ph.D., or equivalent, with a strong background in molecular biology and immunology, including significant experience in standard methods (e.g. flow cytometry, tissue culture, PCR, Western blots, next generation sequencing etc.) are encouraged to apply. Experience in computational biology methods highly desirable. Ability to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
