Job Description
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Vijay Krishna in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Lerner Research Institute, Cleveland Clinic to study the interaction of nanomaterials in animal models. The successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary team of investigators for design and evaluation of nanomaterials for biomedical applications including kidney and urologic diseases. Specifically, the position will focus on design of energy-gated nanoparticles and drug-loaded nanomaterials for targeted delivery. Along these same lines, the molecular, biochemical and immunological mechanisms will be deciphered.
Candidates should have Ph.D. in nanomedicine, molecular biology, chemical biology, biochemistry, and/or nutritional biology. Successful candidates should have demonstrated expertise in murine models and molecular biology techniques. Special consideration will be given to applicants with additional expertise in murine models of urologic diseases.
Prospective candidates must be creative, self-motivated and capable of working independently. Candidates must be proficient in both spoken and written communication in English. Candidates will be expected to design and conduct experiments, statistically analyze data and write manuscripts and reports.
