Postdoctoral position available in the multidisciplinary laboratory of Dr. Bill Chen, Director of the Small Molecule Therapeutic Center, University of Pittsburgh, Department of Medicine. The lab focuses on identifying and studying molecular pathways that modulate the inflammatory cascade (1), mitochondria function/mitophagy (2), and DAMPs/inflammasome/necroptosis (3) in order to develop novel small molecule therapeutics for various diseases. Qualifications: A PhD, MD, or MD/PhD required. The successful candidate(s) will have excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Strong experience with ubiquitin biology, molecular biology, mouse models and CRISPR-based technology is desirable. Eligibility to apply for NIH Training Grants would also be a distinct advantage.
