A postdoctoral position in cardiac physiology is available in the research team IIb, “Cardiac Arrhythmias: heart failure and pharmacological approaches” (team leader Michel De Waard). We are looking for a well-trained and highly motivated individual to work on an ANR/ASTRID projet (hErOiSmE) on a new therapeutic strategy for shock (septic and hemorrhagic). The candidate should have skills in surgery in small animals (rats and mice). The post-doctoral fellow will be involved in project aimed at deciphering the role of O-GlcNAc at the early phase of shock and to identify new therapeutic target. One of the partner of the project (Arnaud Tessier, chemist) is developing potential new molecule that will be tested.
The position, a PhD salary and associated research project is funded by the French National Research Agency (AgenceNationale de la Recherche) and the French Defense Agency (Direction Générale de l’Armement). The position is available as soon as possible.

To qualify to this postdoctoral position the applicant should hold a PhD. Competences in cardiac physiology and animal testing certification are a prerequisite
