Two Postdoctoral Associate Positions at Baylor College of Medicine
The Jihye Yun lab at Baylor College of Medicine (Molecular and Human Genetics) works on untangling the relationship between diet, metabolism, microbiome, and colorectal cancer with an emphasis on discovering novel strategies to prevent and treat cancers.

Required research area:
PhD in molecular and cell biology, immunology, cancer biology, analytical chemistry or biochemistry.
Candidates should be enthusiastic about collaborative and interdisciplinary research, be intelligent, productive and highly motivated to develop as an independent scientist, and demonstrate excellent scientific communication skills.
Required Skillset:
Position 1: Experience with molecular biology, animal models, cell and stem cell biology, intestinal microbiome and immunology, especially mucosal immunity are strongly preferred but not required.
Position 2: Candidate must have a doctoral degree in analytical chemistry or related disciplines and have extensive experience in LC-MS/MS instrument (accurate mass) such as Q-TOF or QE. If a candidate doesn’t have a doctoral degree but has more than 5 years of experience in using LC-MS/MS for metabolomics research, she/he can still apply for the Yun lab. Candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge in metabolism (preferably human and mammalian), identification, and quantitative analysis of global metabolomics and isotope-labeled metabolomics. Additional experiences in metabolic flux analysis and computational skills are preferred but not required. This position can be changed to a Research Scientist position.
