Job description
Compromised epithelial barriers are among the key risk factors for allergic sensitization. How barrier-defective skin communicates with innate and adaptive immunity, however, to induce pathogenic type 2 and IgE responses, is only partially resolved. In the setting of a national research network (https: // www. for2599.de) we address this question using mouse models of skin barrier defects and human samples, as well as mice deficient for immune mediators or cell types. We study the impact of these alterations on the innate and adaptive immune system at high resolution relying on flow cytometry and single cell OMICS technologies and validate candidate factors by CRISPR- based mutagenesis.
A successful candidate will use

Your profile
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic PhD or MD, experienced in life science research, preferably in immunology and with the following skills:
experience with some of the above-mentioned technology (not mandatory)
experience in writing scientific publications
motivation to work independently and to develop a research field
