Position Summary
A postdoctoral position is currently available in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center focused on identifing mechanisms responsible for Cx43 and Cx45 dysregulation in heart disease. The potential candidate is expected to perform various cell and molecular biology techniques and determine the therapeutic effects of inhibitors on cardiac function in animal models of myocardial infarction.
Required Qualifications
A postdoc candidate should have PhD and/or MD and prior experience in molecular biology, cell culture, and drug testing in rodent models.
Supplemental Qualifications
Candidate should have at least two-three years of research experience. A strong background in cardiac biology is desirable. A candidate should have publications as the first author in peer-reviewed journals.
