Ph.D. and postdoctoral positions are available for the molecular / cellular biologists in the Laboratory of RNA biochemistry, Charles University, Prague. The project will be dedicated to the cellular role of cap-binding translation initiation factors from the eIF4E family in cancer and development. We offer a work within an enthusiastic team in well equipped laboratories located in the very centre of Prague with access to the top-notch service facilities in the Faculty of Science (https: // www. natur.cuni.cz/biology/service) and Biocev (https: // www. biocev.eu/en/services). We developed several lines of the study involving different biological models and a palette of approaches ranging from biochemical purification and characterization of the protein-protein and protein-RNA complexes to cell biology methods relying on microscopic techniques. A specific direction of the research will be discussed with the candidate taking into account the candidate's skills and scientific interests. Previous experience with research into eukaryotic translation is not essential however would be an advantage.
