The postdoc will work on the ERC AbioEvo to devise microfluidic devices in order to emulate prebiotic compartments relevant to the RNA world hypothesis during the origin of life.
ESPCI Paris is a major institution of higher education (a French "Grande Écoled'ingénieurs"), an internationally renowned research center (6 Nobel Prizes), and a fertile ground of innovation for industry (3 start-ups created/year). ESPCI is a highly multidisciplinary environment with teaching and research in physics, chemistry and biology.
The research will be hosted in the Laboratory Biophysics and Evolution (www. lbe.espci.fr, dir. Philippe Nghe) which is part of the unit ChimieBiologie Innovation UMR 8231 CNRS-ESPCI at ESPCI Paris – PSL University, France (www. espci.psl.eu/en/espci-paris-psl/) a French ‘Grande Ecole' (6 Nobel prizes) in the heart of Paris.
