One ERC-funded postdoctoral position is available in the newly established laboratory of Synthetic Immunology at the University of Padova, Italy. Our lab investigates the interactions between antigen presenting cells and T cells in vivo, with the goal of defining the cellular and molecular determinants shaping the T cell response. Instead of approaching this problem with traditional methods, we seek to develop novel strategies capable of revealing cell-cell communication directly in living animals (Pasqual et al., Nature 2018; Chudnovskiy et al., Current Opinion in Immunology 2019).
The lab is part of the University of Padova, a dynamic and stimulating multidisciplinary research environment home of more than 2000 scientists distributed across 20 scientific departments. Our institute is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including NGS platforms, high biosafety containment animal facility, advanced flow cytometry and imaging resources. Our research also benefits of a network of international collaborators located in leading institution in Europe and US.

Skills/Qualifications
The ideal candidate has recently completed or will complete soon his/her doctoral training and has a proven track record of achievements in the field of immunology. Hands on experience in advanced flow cytometry and in vivo animal models is required. Skills in molecular biology, mouse genetics, imaging or computational biology are an advantage.
