Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within Oxford Population Health, The China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) Study is a uniquely rich and powerful global resource for investigating the environmental and genetic determinants of common chronic diseases.
As a Researcher in Genetic Epidemiology you will join an existing team of epidemiologists, statisticians, geneticists and clinicians working on the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB). You will develop your own research ideas, contribute to high-profile scientific publications, present work at scientific and other meetings, and will be involved in international collaborations.
To be considered you will hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in genetics, epidemiology, bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, or similar. You will also need relevant experience including use of bioinformatics and genomics tools and software, reference panels, databases, and other relevant resources, relevant programming experience and a good understanding of common statistical methods used in epidemiological and genetic research.
The position is full time (although part time considered) and fixed term for two years in the first instance. The closing date for applications is noon on 23rd September 2022.
