About us: Ophthalmic Microsystems Laboratory at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher. Ophthalmic Microsystems Laboratory is a research group in Byers Eye Institute in the Department of Ophthalmology, which is led by Charles DeBoer, MD, PhD. Our aim is to develop ultra-small implantable devices to provide local drug delivery for the eye. We have a diverse group of researchers with expertise in surgery, microfabrication, additive manufacturing, finite element analysis and cell-nased therapies.
About the position: We are looking for a candidate to help with characterizing drug delivery, developing models (e.g. PK), and measurement ex vivo and in vivo as well as developing encapsulated transgenic cell-based therapies for ocular disease. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences as well as hands-on experience in cell cultivation and
