A postdoctoral position in cancer biology is available immediately in the Julius L. Chambers Biomedical/Biotechnology Research Institute at North Carolina Central University. We are located on the North Carolina Research Campus in Charlotte area. This campus has state-of-the-art core facilities in the areas of genomics, metabolomics, proteomics and microscopy (http://www.ncresearchcampus.net).
We are seeking a self-motivated postdoctoral scientist to study mammary stem cell reprogramming, signal transduction, genomic instability, epigenetic regulation and apoptosis in breast cancer etiology, prevention and experimental therapeutics. Our research focuses on hormone and tyrosine kinase mediated signaling, gene expression and hierarchical structure of mammary epithelial cells, in response to various preventive or etiological factors targeting hormone-growth factor crosstalk. Candidates with strong background in cancer biology and expertise in signal transduction, apoptosis, cell cycle, epigenetic regulation and bioinformatics tools are encouraged to apply. Excellent writing skill is a plus.
