Research Scientist - Genitourinary Medical Oncology - Research Job Functions Maintains, operates, and improves imaging devices, including bright-field, epifluorescence, confocal, high-content, and multiphoton microscopes Executes and supervises primary research on cancer invasion/metastasis principles and novel therapy applications utilizing diverse microscopy and other cell and molecular biology and synthetic/organic/computational based techniques Plans, organizes, coordinates, directs and participated in other scientific research projects. Manages laboratory personnel, daily operations, laboratory safety and compliance Guide, teach and supervise technicians, postdocs, students and collaborators in use of imaging devices and aid them to accomplish research goals. Contributes to and writes scientific publications, grants, and presentations – for reporting and conference meetings. Collaborate with lab members to reinforce expertise and speed up research programs Conducts experimental record keeping in laboratory notebooks. Other duties as assigned Education Required: PhD in one of the natural sciences or related field or Medical degree Experience Required: With PhD, no experience required. With Medical degree, two years of experience in experimental or scientific work. Experience Preferred: Excellent small animal surgical skill, technical skills in molecular biology, 2 or 3 years of experience in manuscript writing and grant application submission.
