The research team you will be joining has an international track record in precision measurements at the border between nuclear and particle physics to gain in-depth understanding of the properties of the weak interaction, one of the four basic forces in nature. The project you will be joining is part of a larger international research collaboration to search for neutron electric dipole moment (nEDM) (https: // journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.124.081803). The history of searches for a non-zero nEDM is long. It dates to the work of N. F. Ramsey and E. M. Purcell in the 1950s. Since then, the sensitivity of experiments has been improved by 6 orders of magnitude and the most sensitive nEDM experiment to date has been performed by our collaboration.

Profile
You are a physicist with aPhD or an engineer with strong background on FPGA programming and controltheory.
Offer
This position for an engineer or postdoctoral researcher is for one year, renewable for a second year, and is immediately available. The candidate will work in close collaboration with the present postdoctoral researcher. The position requires travel to Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, Switzerland and the National Institute of Metrology in Berlin, Germany for final tests of the system.
